In October 2011, Justin Seitz successfully completed his Level 1 High-Powered Rocket Certification flight with an 'H'-class motor on a rocket humorously named Toxic Thunder, a nod to a family member’s notoriously strong flatulence. The rocket, measuring 4 inches in diameter and 6 feet tall, reached an apogee of 2,200 feet AGL (above ground level). The single-stage flight included a flawless parachute deployment and landing. However, gusty winds caused some damage to the rocket, as the parachute dragged it across the ground post-landing. The most impressive flight that day came from a rocket in the background, soaring over 14,000 feet AGL. Its launch was so powerful, it sounded like a phonebook being ripped apart right next to your ear.
