In the most wonderful bit of news, our friends at Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law & Justice have freed the first person under the Oklahoma Survivor’s Act: Lisa Rae Moss. The Oklahoma Survivor’s Act was passed in 2024, and allows the courts in Oklahoma to retroactively re-examine the role domestic violence played in crimes in the past and to apply this lens to sentences in the future.

The Kings of Tupelo
Like millions of other folks, on New Year's Day, I decided to rot on my couch for 6+ hours with my pregnancy pillow (I'm not and never have been pregnant), Singapore noodles, and a heady desire to nap. I fell asleep through a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon and woke up to a text about The Kings of Tupelo.Â
With no expectations, I pressed play and was immediately dazzled by people who seemed too quirky to be true. In this bizarre true-crime tale, an Elvis impersonator's conspiracy theory sets off a feud that spirals into an attempted presidential assassination—enough said.Â
The documentary filmmakers knew what they were doing with this one, and they delivered. It's a classic Bullshit Hunting affair.Â
We are going to rehydrate after shedding many happy tears, we hope that you do the same.
Much love,
The Bullshit Hunters
