At Permanent Record Research Inc. we are firm believers in the public and the press having free and fair access to public documents. We spend a considerable amount of time, money and effort in filing requests, handling documents, redactions and filing appeals. We hope that these documents are of use to you, to your stories, that you may find some peace for a family or help to undo an injustice.

The Crash of Arrow Air Flight 1285R
On Thursday, December 12, 1985, Arrow Air Flight 1285R took off from Gander International Airport, Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. Shortly thereafter, it crashed - killing it’s flight full of United States Army Personnel on their way back home for the holidays.
The investigation was poorly done on both sides of the border, with the ultimate, and most reasonable explanation being that it was ice build up that caused it. Others suspect that it was terrorism amid the backdrop of the 1980s Iran-Contra scandal. Out of interest, Permanent Record Research has been sending requests for public information to various agencies, and uploaded them for free below. Feel free to investigate it for yourself - just be sure to write the story of what you find!

Neil Stonechild Inquiry
“P” Exhibits Documents
Many months of effort by one of our team members and a Canadian journalist was required to track down, discover, request and finally produce the ‘P’ or public exhibits from the Neil Stonechild Inquiry. To our knowledge, this is the first index and publicly available repository of these exhibits and they contain numerous challenges to the existing story and narrative in the Neil Stonechild story.
